Cohiba's first cigar made entirely in Nicaragua, delivered in a compact panatela format built for a bold, quick smoke.

The Cohiba Nicaragua Pequenos marks a significant moment in Cohiba's history as the brand's first cigar blended and handcrafted entirely in Nicaragua. Produced at the Scandinavian Tobacco Group Esteli S.A. factory under General Cigar Co., this small panatela carries the full Nicaraguan character of its full-size counterparts without asking for an hour of your time. Rated 91 points, it stands among the most flavor-forward premium cigars available in the small cigar format.

This listing includes 5 tins of 6, for a total of 30 cigarillos. The tin format makes them easy to carry, store, and smoke on the go without a case or humidor.

The blend includes:

  1. Honduran Jamastran Valley Colorado Oscuro wrapper, reddish mocha brown with a slight oily sheen
  2. Nicaraguan binder from Jalapa, known for its sweet volcanic-soil undertones
  3. Nicaraguan long-filler from Esteli and Jalapa, hand-selected and finely aged

From the first draw, you will notice:

  1. White pepper and cumin opening the palate immediately
  2. Rich coffee bean character building through the first section
  3. Cedar and leather running as consistent base notes throughout
  4. Dark chocolate and a nutty, savory quality in the midsection
  5. A sweet, slightly fruity finish that rounds out the bold profile with creamy smoke

Due to the narrow 36 ring gauge, the draw tightens slightly as the cigar burns. Smoking slowly is key. Rushing the draw will overheat the small ring gauge and turn the pepper sharp. A slow, deliberate pace every 30 to 45 seconds keeps the smoke cool and the flavor clean from the first puff to the final third.

Each Pequenos measures 4 3/16 inches with a 36 ring gauge and smokes for approximately 20 to 30 minutes, making these ideal for a coffee break, a quick session between commitments, or any moment where a full-size Cohiba Nicaragua cigar is not an option.

Compared to other small-format cigars:

  1. Medium to full body in a cigarillo size, which very few small cigars deliver
  2. 91-rated blend sourced entirely from Nicaraguan volcanic-soil tobaccos
  3. Colorado Oscuro wrapper adds dark chocolate and leather complexity not found in most petite coronas
  4. Long-filler construction ensures a consistent burn and draw that short-filler alternatives cannot match

Compared to other Cohiba Nicaragua vitolas:

  1. Pequenos (4 3/16 x 36): tin format, 20 to 30 minute smoke, full flavor in a quick session
  2. N45 (4 x 45): slightly wider ring, similar session length, more body through the wider draw
  3. N54 Toro (5.25 x 54): medium-length session of 45 to 60 minutes, fuller body progression
  4. En Crystale (5 x 52): glass tube format, 45 to 60 minute smoke, same Nicaraguan blend
  5. N60 Toro Gordo (6 x 60): longest and boldest, 1 hour plus, maximum Nicaraguan expression

This product is best suited for:

  1. Experienced smokers who want medium to full-body flavor in a compact, portable format
  2. Cohiba Nicaragua fans looking for a quick 20 to 30 minute smoke without sacrificing the core blend character
  3. Anyone seeking a bold, pepper-forward cigarillo that holds genuine complexity from first draw to finish
