In place of the Classic's Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade leaf, this Robusto is finished in a 3-year-aged American Connecticut Broadleaf, producing a noticeably darker, richer profile from the same underlying recipe Avo Uvezian and Hendrik Kelner developed in the 1980s.

At 5 x 50, the flavor opens with dominant chocolate notes, often described as reminiscent of chocolate cereal in milk, with clove and cedar coming through clearly alongside subtle leather, raisin bread, and a faint barnyard character. A delicate white pepper spice adds complexity without overwhelming the smoother base flavors.
